The Miss Essence & Mrs. Essence Program

Like most Americans, you've probably seen a pageant competition televised annually. What you probably haven't seen is what's going on behind the scenes of the show and that is why we need you!

There will be ladies coming from across the United States to compete for the title of Miss TEEN Essence, Miss Essence and Mrs. Essence 2010 in Kansas City, August 27-28, 2010. This pageant was created to help women of today’s society capture their dreams. The winner of each category will receive a prize package with a cash award to support her personal endeavor whether it is educational, entrepreneurship or a career in entertainment.  The Miss / Mrs. Essence Pageant system signifies the “essence” of today’s modern day women.  We are open to women with all ethnic backgrounds and ages and we strive to be the most urban trendsetting pageant in the Globe.

Who Are the Miss Essence/Mrs. Essence vounteers?

The Pageant volunteers are dedicated individuals who assist with the national level of competition. The Hostess Committee retains national volunteers each year who do everything from work with the production team to host the media and work daily with the contestants.

Those volunteers who live close to Kansas City assist with the national level of competition.

If you have time, talent, a service or a venue to contribute, we have a place - and a need - for you. Whether you direct a local Miss Essence/ Mrs. Essence program, wash cars at a fundraiser or reach out to other community service organizations and educators to secure briefings and platform related appearances for your Miss Essence/ Mrs. Essence titleholder, you will be making a positive difference in your community and in young women's lives.
